Project Description

Here’s a thing I did for an art show in 2012 called TV Party,  that was held in a Mexican restaurant that went out of business in 2014.

When contacted about the show, I was told it would be a group show about TV. The artists involved in the show were given free reign to do whatever they wanted as long as it related to TV. Many, if not all of us were also told about the show about a week before it was scheduled to happen. Oh well c’est la vie, I decided, like John Travolta’s character Terl in Battlefield Earth, to tell the TV Party organizer that I’d do what I can.

In the spirit of doing what I can, I churned out this mock 7″ record sleeve for a band that never existed, but damn well should’ve. This band would be called Gary Coleman and the Broken Haloes and would be comprised of Gary Coleman (naturally) Cap’n Crunch and Captain Caveman.

This piece was later cleaned up digitally and used in my comic Chachi, a comic which can be purchased here, while supplies last.

That’s about all I have to say about this one.
